MEMBERSHIP HAS ITS PRIVILEGES

 

As we enter the new year 5779, we'd love for YOUR FAMILY to become part of OUR FAMILY.

Membership Benefits include:

  • Reduced pricing on rental of Synagogue Facilities for personal events
  • Reduced pricing on community events
  • 24/7 access to rabbinic counseling, visitations, meetings

Your membership IN PART supports daily Minyanim, Shabbat and Holiday Services, educational courses, facilities maintenance, and Rabbinical services. Additional donations are always welcome to further fund these programs.

Founding Membership: $10,000.00

All benefits of a family membership, PLUS special blessing recited every Shabbat by Rabbi and a grand kiddush in family’s honor!

Benefactor Membership: $5,000.00

All benefits of a family membership, including a grand kiddush in family’s honor

Family Membership: $1,950.00

All family members including children up to age 21

Single Membership: $1,100.00

Includes one High Holiday Ticket

Associate Family Membership: $720.00

Families who are full-time members of another congregation, but wish to maintain a relationship with Beth Tefillah and support our community. This category does not include High Holiday tickets or voting rights.

Proof of membership at another synagogue is REQUIRED

Associate Single Membership: $360.00

Individuals who are full-time members of another congregation, but wish to maintain a relationship with Beth Tefillah and support our community. This category does not include High Holiday tickets or voting rights.

Proof of membership at another synagogue is REQUIRED

Student/ Young Professional Single: $180.00

For individuals who are 32 years of age or younger. This category does not include voting rights.

Student/ Young Professional Couple: $360.00

For couples who are both 32 years of age or younger. This category does not include voting rights.

 

It is the policy of Congregation Beth Tefillah that no one be denied membership for financial reasons. If for any reason you cannot afford full dues-paying membership, please contact Andrea Gillow

We encourage all families to further enhance our community through committee participation.

When signing up below for membership, please select one or more areas of interest from the following list for which you would consider volunteering.  

 

Social

OnShea Chayil (Men's group) - Men's social programming and events

Eshet Chayil (Women's group) - Women's social programming and events

Shabbat Around the World Dinners - bimonthly Friday night dinners highlighting different Jewish communities throughout the world

Fashion Show - Annual CBT fashion show event (is this part of Eshet Chayil)

Young Professionals Committee - programming geared towards members in their 20s and 30s

 

Family

Youth Social Programming - social programming and events for children

Shabbat Children's Programming - children's programming that takes place during Shabbat services

High Holiday Children's Programming - children's programming that takes place during the High Holidays

Mishpachti Young Family Dinners - bimonthly Friday night dinners geared towards families with young children

Teen Programming - social programming and events for teenagers

 

Religious/Ceremonial

Ritual Committee - helps coordinate minyan and religious projects throughout the year (lulav and etrog sale, kaparot, etc)

High Holiday - facilitates planning and setting up for High Holiday services

Mikvah Committee - coordinates mikvah function and volunteer schedules

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Committee - Organizes social events and educational opportunities for preteens in the year prior to their Bar/Bat Mitzvah 

 

Community

Chesed - community charity projects and needs (shiva and newborn meal coordination, visitation of the sick)

Kosher Food Bank - food for those in need 

Membership - welcome events and member recognition

Community at Large - creates and promotes programming that fosters connection with our greater Scottsdale and Phoenix Jewish Community.

 

Educational

Year-Round Holiday Committee - helps provide social and educational programming to coincide with holidays throughout the Jewish calendar year.  Works in conjunction with other committees.

Israel Committee - helps provide social and educational programming pertaining to Israel

Religious Education - helps to develop lecture series on religious topics and to arrange for speakers throughout the year

 

Operations

Weekly Bulletin - printing and distribution of weekly announcements

Security - helps maintain safety at CBT and CBT events

   Sponsor a Kiddush $360.00
   Underwrite cleaning/setup costs for one week $150.00
