The Nefesh After School Religious Studies Program 2021-2022

The Nefesh program will be continuing for the 2021-2022 academic year! Nefesh is a program geared towards students in grades K-6. It is designed to provide students with an opportunity for supplemental education in Jewish holidays and practice, spirituality, Torah study that is textually-based, an encouraging learning environment, and a positive student-mentor relationship.

The program is divided into two courses:

1)  Jewish Holidays, calendar, and Jewish law (Halacha).  Parsha (weekly Torah portion) may be included, time permitting each session.  This class will meet in person at Congregation Beth Tefillah by CBT's Ambassadsors (Shiloh Fleischman, Tamir Palant, and Yeshoshuah Kaszovitz) on Thursdays from 3:30-5 PM. Masks are strongly encouraged.  Classes begin on January 6th.  Grades K-4.

2) Chumash.  This class focuses on skill building and content.  This program meets virtually twice a week for half hour sessions and is divided by age group and skill level.  Students will meet either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday after school.  We are in the process of searching for a teacher for this section, and a start date is pending for new classes.  Current students meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Nefesh is open to all families at Pardes and other schools.
