 TRADITIONAL KAPPAROT CEREMONY

Sunday, September 24

come by, anytime, between 11:30 - 1pm
at Congregation Beth Tefillah

    10636 N. 71st Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85254

Live fish will be available for purchase, or you may bring your own charity money ($15-$20 per person as is customary) and Rabbi Allouche will be on hand to guide you through the entire process.

The age-old custom of "Kaparot" is traditionally performed on the eve of Yom Kippur, by grasping a live chicken, a Kosher fish or charity money and moving one of them around one's head three times; symbolically transferring one's sins to the chicken, fishor money. The chicken, fish or money are then donated to the poor.
