Local Tuition Organizations and School Scholarships
Certified Student Tuition Organizations (STOs) receive income tax credit contributions that fund scholarships for students to attend qualified private schools located in Arizona. STOs may receive tax credit donations from individual and/or corporate taxpayers.
The Jewish Tuition Organization (JTO) was established in 1999 with the goal of ensuring no child is denied a Jewish day school education because of the cost. Since then, the JTO has been privileged to make a difference in the lives of students in the Phoenix area by awarding over 5,000 need-based scholarships to students at six partner schools.
As a student tuition organization (STO), the JTO is able to raise funds for these scholarships through the dollar-for-dollar Arizona Private School Tax Credit. The JTO distributes more than 500 scholarships per year worth more than $3.2 million.
The Jewish Tuition Organization (JTO) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All donations are welcome and appreciated.

Valley Tuition Organization (VTO) - The Valley Tuition Organization is a state approved, non-profit, that allocates at least 90% of its annual revenue for tuition grants to K-12 students to allow them to attend any qualified private school.
A family who has been dedicated to Jewish education for generations has stepped up to bring more families into supporting private day school education. It is also a 501(c)(3) organization.
Empowerment Scholarship Accounts - tax money that would pay for that student's education in a neighborhood school follows that student to whichever school the parents choose for their child. ESA dollars cover multiple eduction expenses, such as private school tition, curricula, educational supplies, tutoring, and more.
It is helpful to note that students are eligible to receive tuition discounts through ESA or STO money but not both simultaneously. Both of these programs enable significant reductions in tuition for families.
