SHAVUOT: A LOVE STORY

A Shavuot Message from the Desk of Rabbi Allouche

Dear Friends,

Ready or not, here we go! Tonight, after sundown, the special festival of Shavuot begins, and it will last until Thursday evening.

We hope to see you all at CBT for our special Shavuot services and program, which will include, an all-night learnathon with an amazing lineup of Speakers tonight, the reading of the Ten Commandments tomorrow at 10:30am (please join us, men, women and children for this most vital Mitzvah which promises many, many blessings!), dairy luncheons on both days, and Yizkor on Thursday, and more.

But what is Shavuot's message? What exactly are we celebrating?

Here was my humble attempt to answer this question:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/592ddce9e4b047e77e4c3f32

May our marriage with G-d on this day, empower us to connect to him and to His Torah, so that we may live more, be more, and do more and more mitzvot every day.

Chag Sameach and many, many blessings,

Rabbi Allouche
